Strengthening capacity in epidemiology is a key recommendation from Health Ministers of the Region. In response, the Pacific Public Health Surveillance Network (PPHSN) regional partners (the Secretariat of the Pacific Community - SPC; The Pacific Island Health Officers Association – PIHOA; US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – CDC; Fiji National University – FNU; Hunter New England Local Health District and World Health Organization – WHO) have redeveloped the data for decision-making (DDM) training programme for the Pacific.The DDM forms a component of the Strengthening Health Interventions in the Pacific (SHIP) Programme.
