
28th PPHSN Coordinating Body Meeting, EpiNet Technical Working Group meeting and Pacific One Health Scientific Working Group meeting
The 28th PPHSN Coordinating Body (PPHSN-CB) Meeting will be held in Nadi, Fiji, from 26-27 March 2026. This meeting will take place back to back with:
- A two-day EpiNet Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting on 24 and 25 March 2026, and
- A one-day Pacific One Health Scientific Working Group meeting on 23 March 2026.
EpiNet Technical Working Group meeting
24-25 March 2026 | Nadi, Fiji
One of the recommendations of the 26th PPHSN Coordinating Body meeting, held in Nadi in August 2024, was to establish a working group to validate the EpiNet team roles and responsibilities and to develop a Rapid Response Team (RRT) capacity-building training curriculum.
The EpiNet Technical Working Group (TWG) was established in September 2025 and has since been meeting virtually via Teams. This meeting marks the first face-to -face gathering of the EpiNet TWG.
The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen governance, strategic planning, and resource mobilisation for the EpiNet Technical Working Group (TWG).
The objectives of the meeting are to:
1) Finalise the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the TWG and the ToR for EpiNet
2) Formalise the operational and governance structure
3) Elect/select TWG Officers
4) Develop/update the EpiNet Strategic Plan
5) Facilitate the drafting of a funding proposal for EpiNet operations
6) Strengthen coordination and information-sharing mechanisms
28th PPHSN-CB meeting
26-27 March 2026 | Nadi, Fiji
The objectives of the 28th PPHSN-CB meeting are to:
1) Discuss governance structure of the PPHSN-CB and the proposed review of its Terms of Reference.
2) Provide an update on the progress of the Pacific Outbreak Manual (POM) review.
3) Report back on the EpiNet TWG meeting and recommendations.
4) Report back on the Pacific One Health Scientific WG meeting and recommendations
5) Discuss and endorse the PPHSN Strategic Framework 2026-2035 and the 3-year costed Implementation Plan 2026-2028.
6) Discuss and propose the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of PPHSN.
