Objectives
The objectives of the meeting were:
1. to update Pacific island countries and areas on APSED and IHR implementation, including a review of the first two years of experience with the Pacific syndromic surveillance system;
2. to develop a five-year Pacific APSED/IHR workplan, strengthening the Pacific syndromic surveillance system and making use of existing PPHSN services and structures; and
3. to discuss other priority activities for, and governance of, the PPHSN.
