Within the framework of the PPHSN, WHO and SPC hope to organise LabNet and EpiNet regional workshops in the second half of this year 2003. These two workshops will be held in Suva, Fiji, and target, as participants, members of the national/territorial EpiNet teams. It’s also planned that the PPHSN Coordinating Body will hold its 9th meeting before the workshops, with the new composition of the CB core members. Detailed information on these meetings will be communicated in due course to Pacific Islands health authorities.
PacNet is over 500 members
In addition to the fact that PacNet once again showed its usefulness by facilitating communication between the PPHSN members during the “crisis” period caused by SARS, the list continued to draw new members in the region. PacNet now links together more than 500 health professionals, of whom almost 90% are based within the Pacific rim.
